The NSCAD Alumni community is nearly 10,000 strong with a global presence. Our alumni have been making waves in art, craft, design, and media since 1887. The Office of Advancement works with the NSCAD University Alumni Association to connect alumni to one another and the university. We promote and share members’ achievements and create opportunities for alumni to stay involved with the university through volunteerism and support of our fundraising.

The Office of the Registrar is responsible for maintaining and advising about academic regulations, policies, and procedures to all stakeholders. The unit organizes, directs, and controls the retention and maintenance of students’ academic records towards the fulfillment of academic requirements up to and including the awarding of degrees and diplomas. The Registrar is responsible for overseeing and promoting the continuous development of the Student Information System, ensuring the integrity and protection of student academic records, and providing strategic direction and management functions.

The Office of Academic Affairs and Research is charged with leadership and oversight responsibilities for all NSCAD academic and research enterprises. The portfolio of responsibilities within this office includes those of the Dean, Directors of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies, Anna Leonowens Gallery, Student Services, Extended Studies, Research, and the Registrar. Beyond this, we maintain a vast array of world-class support facilities, including libraries, visual archives, and workshops specializing in digital visualization, painting, sculpture, jewellery, textiles, ceramics, and photography.

The Office of Operations is responsible for the management of future major capital construction projects and the ongoing infrastructure operations and maintenance of NSCAD’s current three physical sites. In addition, the AVP Operations provides oversight to the administration portfolios of the university, including Human Resources, Facilities Management, Computer Services, the Art Supply Store, and the Service Centre.
