In this Adobe Illustrator course, you will learn how to use vectors to create high quality illustrations, logos, and other custom artwork. This entry-level course will introduce you to the power of the pen tool, how to transform existing shapes, and how to add colour to drawn objects. You will also use layers to organize your artwork, and explore the options for exporting and printing your Illustrator files. The class is a combination of online lecture components, with reference materials to go over and exercises to complete each week. Basic computer literacy is required, including comfort using web browsers, file organization, and installing and running software. This course qualifies as part of the Extended Studies Certificate in Digital Media.

This course is hosted online. As such, students are required to have access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access during class time. Access to a web camera and microphone is strongly recommended. Additional materials required.
