Introduction to Adobe Photoshop

Description

Introduction to Adobe Photoshop is a hands-on technical course, centred around digital image creation and manipulation using Adobe CC Photoshop. By completing a series of individual assignments and exercises, students will experience the software and gain practical as well as theoretical experience. The basics of editing, finishing, converting and publishing digital images will be introduced, as well as more advanced tools, such as layers, painting tools, and effects. Basic computer literacy is required, including comfort using web browsers, file organization, and installing and running software. This course qualifies as part of the Extended Studies Certificate in Digital Media.

This course is hosted online. As such, students are required to have access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access during class time. Access to a web camera and microphone is strongly recommended. Additional materials required.
