North Americans send 9.5 million tonnes of clothing to landfills each year (www.canada.com 2019). One way we can make a difference is to find new ways to re-purpose textiles that would otherwise be thrown away. Join us on an 8 week adventure where we will complete a number of simple, thoughtful and environmentally minded projects. These will not only introduce you to many useful beginner hand and machine sewing techniques but also to sewing with unconventional materials and re-purposed fabrics. Have fun and Sew Green!
