The Art of Photography

Description

This introductory course will focus on the artistic qualities of photographs, centring composition and subject rather than digital editing. Manually adjustable cameras, such as DSLRs, are ideal, however the course can also be completed using a point-and-shoot or smart phone camera for students interested in delving deeper into the medium before taking the financial leap. This course qualifies as part of the Extended Studies Certificate in Digital Media.

This course is hosted online. As such, students are required to have access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access during class time. Access to a web camera and microphone is strongly recommended. Additional materials required.
