Description

In this introductory screenwriting course, students will be guided through the creative and technical process of developing a screenplay. Using discussions, class critiques, and movie excerpts, students will explore the structure of television and film scripts from simple formatting, characterizations and blocking, right up to complex recursive plot structure. Students will develop a 30-minute script, suitable for use as a portfolio submission.

This class is an online class. As such, students are required to have access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access during class time. Access to a web camera and microphone is recommended. Additional materials may be required.
