Description
This cityscape painting course is ideal for those who have taken the Introductory Acrylic course and/or have experience painting. It offers challenges in painting perspective and proportion as well as credible light and shadow both realistically and expressively. Instruction focuses on painting warm and cool tones through extensive colour mixing, identifying value and notan, and working with a variety of paint applications in order to evoke mood, texture, emphasis, contrast and depth in urban painting. Students will work from a variety of resource photographs and sketches. Please bring to the first class paint materials (see material list) and a 16” x 20” canvas or canvas board.
