$240.00

Spaces Available

Description

Incorporating elements of illustration, design, narrative, and craft, students will create a playable thematic board game of their own design. Throughout the week, students will consider a variety of play mechanics used in tabletop gaming. Drawing on these possible mechanics, and on some of their own, students will create an original theme, mood, and story for their own board game. Working in pairs, and in larger groups for feedback, students will a develop their games from concept sketches and theoretical rules, to prototyping, and finally to a playable handmade tabletop game.
