NEW Polaroids: Instant Gratification

  • Instructor: Day, Michael

Spaces Available

Polaroids are some of the most accessible and iconic photographic mediums there are. They can be used to create collages, constructions, hand manipulations, mixed media, mobiles, or just a great photograph. A range of cameras, Polaroid film and printers will be “at your disposal” to create, finish and present your creations. At the end of the course, students will be invited to enter a pop-up show to display the works they produced in class. This course would be perfect for anyone with an interest in Polaroids, film manipulation, or photography in general. No experience is needed, but even practiced photographers are sure to learn something new. By the end of the course, students can expect to be well versed in the use, maintenance, and a range of techniques involved in Polaroid photography. No Polaroid camera? No problem. Any digital camera will work. This course includes the use use of a Fuji printer and 2 packages of Fuji Instamax film per student.
